Full Interior Painting for Homes in Toronto & the GTA

The whole house or a few rooms: walls, ceilings, trim and doors, with the preparation done before the first coat goes on.

Most of a good paint job happens before the paint is opened. Furniture is moved or covered, floors and fixtures are protected, nail holes and dents are filled and sanded, cracks along trim are caulked, and glossy surfaces are scuffed so the new coat has something to grip. Skipping any of that is what makes a fresh wall show every flaw underneath it a week later.

Colour changes need planning too. Going from a dark colour to a light one, or covering a stain or a patched area, usually needs a primer first, and a strong colour can need an extra coat to come out even. That is worth knowing before the job is priced, so the quote reflects the room you actually have.

A full interior repaint is easiest done in an order that keeps the house livable: one or two rooms at a time, ceilings before walls and trim last, so there is always somewhere to put the furniture. The easiest way to get an accurate price is to describe the rooms on the phone: how many, roughly how big, whether ceilings and trim are included, and what colour is going on over what. Photos help. From there the visit and the timing can be arranged around when the rooms can be cleared.

What a room repaint usually covers

  • Walls, in one colour or with an accent wall.
  • Ceilings, including covering water stains once the leak is fixed.
  • Baseboards, door and window casings, and crown moulding.
  • Interior doors and door frames.
  • Filling, sanding and priming patched or damaged areas first.
  • Protecting floors and furniture, and cleaning up at the end of each day.
